Ten years ago^[1], the first version of Arch Linux^[2] was released. To celebrate this milestone, several of the distribution's developers have posted their personal histories^[3] of how they got involved with the project on their blogs.

Even though Arch Linux is a rolling release distribution, with package updates provided to users on a daily basis, the distribution has released fifteen versions in the first ten years of its existence. These releases periodically bundle all updates to the distribution as installer images to minimise the time users have to spend updating after a fresh installation of the operating system.
